Job summary

Gateway Community Action is hiring an Early Head Start Teacher for Morgan County, KY. The role plans and implements developmentally appropriate activities, tracks child progress, and supports families through home-school connections.

The position requires an Infant-Toddler CDA or equivalent, with an AA or higher in early childhood preferred. The role supervises volunteers and coordinates with staff to ensure safety and quality education in a part-time daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Infant-Toddler CDA Credential or comparable credential for infant/toddler development.
• Background checks, pre-employment drug test, and compliance with state/federal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and implements educational services for Early Head Start classroom.
• Supervises classroom assistants and volunteers; coordinates with staff.
• Maintains documentation and communication with parents (home school connections).
• Ensures safety and supports program standards and IFSP implementation.
