Job summary

Central Kentucky Community Action Council Inc. seeks a Head Start Teacher to provide instructional experiences for preschool children to support social, emotional, physical, and educational development.

The role requires an Associate’s in ECE/IECE (required) with Bachelor's preferred, and involves collaborating with staff and parents while ensuring safety, learning progress, and compliance with Head Start standards. 8-hour, Monday–Friday schedule on-site in Kentucky.

Qualifications

• Associate’s in ECE/IECE is required.
• Bachelor’s in ECE/IECE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional experiences for preschool children.
• Engage children with diverse learning experiences.
• Complete required annual training and professional development hours.
• Promote progress for English Language Learners in primary language and English.
• Ensure each child’s interests drive the curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, healthy environment with proper teacher-child ratios.
• Ensure measurable progress toward learning outcomes/standards.
• Keep parents, staff, and partners informed about progress and screening.
• Document and maintain records as required.
• Promote staff relationships conducive to learning.
• Other duties as assigned.
