Job summary

Rutgers University–New Brunswick is seeking Industry Consultants for the Industry Consultant Program. This focused, part-time role offers virtual student consultations, program training, and check-ins to help undergraduates with career readiness, resume, interview strategies, and job-search planning.

You will manage up to four 30‑minute appointments per week (max two hours), conduct sessions via Rutgers Handshake, complete orientation, and collaborate with Career Success Strategists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required for Industry Consultant role.
• Experience in Talent Acquisition or related field preferred.
• Strong resume and interview coaching abilities required.
• Commitment to 2 hours per week virtually.

Responsibilities

• Manage up to four 30‑minute virtual student appointments per week (max two hours).
• Conduct appointments via the Rutgers Handshake platform.
• Complete orientation and training session; participate in monthly check-ins.
• Serve as industry-content resource to Career Success Strategists as needed.
• Maintain student confidentiality and comply with program requirements.
