Job summary

Yosemite Community College District invites applications for a Part-Time Instructor of Industrial Electronics at Modesto Junior College for 2026-2027. The successful candidate will join the Industry & Trades department to deliver foundational and advanced topics in automation, PLCs, motor controls, and industrial electronics.

Duties include online and on-campus instruction, curriculum alignment with industry needs, and engagement in professional development and equity-focused teaching to support

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or higher with 2 years of related professional experience or an Associate’s degree with 6 years of related professional experience.
• District-equivalency policy available; applicant must provide proof of equivalency.
• Knowledge of diverse student backgrounds and equity; ability to work with lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower-division college courses across core ELTEC offerings (electrical theory, automation, PLCs, motor controls, instrumentation, industrial electronics, wiring, safety).
• Advance equitable student learning through high-quality instruction aligned with course outlines.
• Inform students of course requirements, evaluation methods, and attendance expectations.
• Prepare and grade assignments, assessments, and exams; maintain records per district policy.
• Develop, assess, and improve student-learning outcomes at course/program level; participate in professional development and FLEX activities.
