Job summary

Wasatch Behavioral Health in Payson, Utah, is seeking an incentivized therapist for our Payson Family Clinic. This onsite, part-time role focuses on children and families within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Candidates should be licensed in Utah (LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT) or able to obtain licensure before starting; emphasis on evidence-based interventions and compassionate care. The position offers 10–25 hours per week with performance-based incentive compensation, ideal for clinicians

Qualifications

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as an Incentivized Therapist at our Payson Family Clinic in Payson, Utah. This onsite position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality behavioral health care to children and families in our community. As a local government agency, we're committed to helping individuals overcome mental health challenges through compassionate, evidence-based treatment. This performance-based incentivized position provides the flexibility and opportunity to deliver outpatient services while working with children, adolescents, and families. We are especially seeking a clinician with experience and a passion for providing therapeutic interventions to young children ages 3 and older. What You'll Do as a Therapist

• Provide direct and indirect clinical services, including individual, family, and group therapy, using evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Conduct intake assessments, psychosocial evaluations, and diagnostic interviews to identify client needs and develop appropriate treatment recommendations.
• Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans focused on client goals, progress, and long-term wellness.
• Maintain an assigned caseload while completing accurate, timely clinical documentation and records.
• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to children, adolescents, and families experiencing a variety of behavioral health challenges.
• Participate in family team meetings and assist with discharge planning, aftercare coordination, and transition of services.
• Coordinate care with parents, courts, state agencies, hospitals, law enforcement, and community partners to support continuity of care.
• Screen and evaluate referrals to determine appropriate placement and ensure clients receive the services that best meet their needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, case managers, medical providers, and support staff, to provide comprehensive care.
• Provide consultation, training, and clinical guidance to support team members and community partners.
• Monitor client progress, adjust treatment approaches as needed, and help clients build skills to improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Utah licensure as LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT (or the ability to obtain it before starting).
• Solid skills in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and providing therapy.
• Comfortable working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
• Reliable with documentation and maintaining professional standards.
• Committed to ethical practice and ongoing learning.
• Candidates with experience working with young children are preferred.
• Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase.
