Job summary

Altra Homecare Group is seeking a companion caregiver for a client in Gary, IN. This part-time role offers 4 hours per week with an immediate start, with the day of service chosen by you to fit your schedule.

No hands-on personal care is required. You will provide companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands for the client, with orientation and training provided if needed.

Qualifications

• No certification or prior caregiving experience required; orientation and training provided.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Live in or near Gary (Lake County area).
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
• Able to pass a background check and TB test.
• Dependable, patient, and comfortable spending time one-on-one with an older adult.

This role is a good fit if you want to add a few steady, consistent hours to your week with the same client. It is not a full-time position.
