Assisting Hands Central Milwaukee is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide high-quality in-home care to seniors and adults who need assistance with daily living activities. We offer flexible part-time shifts in Milwaukee and surrounding areas, with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle required.
• Comfortable providing care for clients with varying levels of care needs.
• Comfortable working in homes with cats and dogs.
• Comfortable working with clients who smoke.
• Experience using Hoyer lifts and other transfer devices is preferred; training may be provided based on assignment.
• Reliable, punctual, compassionate, and committed to providing excellent care.
• Able to follow a care plan and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning
• Perform light housekeeping tasks
• Provide medication reminders
• Safely assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts and other mobility/transfer devices, when needed
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
