Cornell University's Office of Global Learning is seeking a Temporary Immigration Advisor. This part-time role (10–19 hours/week) offers in-person, hybrid, or remote options with a start ASAP. Responsibilities center on F-1/J-1 document processing and DSOs/AROs, not routine immigration advising.

Salary range is $29.45–$31.66/hour. The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree with DSO/ARO experience and strong regulatory knowledge, plus excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with at least two years serving as a DSO and/or ARO.
• Experience with F-1 and/or J-1 processing of immigration documents.
• Strong written, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Responsabilités

• Serve as DSO/ARO for F-1 and J-1 programs, reviewing and signing immigration documents.
• Process and maintain Forms I-20 and DS-2019 including issuance and extensions.
• Maintain student immigration records in SEVIS and Sunapsis; resolve discrepancies.
• Support initial processing, status activation, and data reporting.
• Assist with related compliance training and processing duties.
