Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for ICU with a 24-hour weekly schedule. Day shifts run 07:00–19:30, with rotating weekends and holidays. ICU training provided within 6 months if no prior ICU experience, and a pay range of $38.20–$57.30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care; involves patients and families in care continuum.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and appropriate delegation to team members.
• Pursues professional development and maintains certifications.
