Job summary

United Dairy Farmers is seeking an Ice Cream Specialist (Dip Clerk) in Ohio. The part-time position focuses on delivering the Hi Five Guest Experience and making hand-dipped cones, shakes, and other items.

You will operate the POS and gas console, stock and maintain displays, and uphold safety and store policies while providing friendly service. The role requires basic English communication, the ability to lift and move items, and flexible shifts including 1st–3rd depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment, including POS terminal and gas console.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, recognize denominations and accurately make change.
• Ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic well enough to complete required records.
• Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves/displays/freezers/milk box and place for proper display.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as –30 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 2 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Provide the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience; greet Guests and ensure the store is prepared for Guests at all times.
• DipSide Guest Services: preparation of shakes/malts, cups/cones of ice cream/yogurt, sundaes, sodas and hand-packed containers.
• Efficient operation of the POS system and gas console with accurate transactions and cash handling.
• Stocking merchandise: keep shelves and freezers filled and faced, rotate stock and check for out of code dates.
• Security: maintain awareness of Guests and follow drop procedures to manage cash and prevent loss.
• Maintenance: keep the store and equipment clean and operating safely; complete time records as required.
