Job summary

UTMB Health in Galveston, TX is seeking a Hyperbaric Technician to operate hyperbaric chambers and deliver oxygen as prescribed by physicians. You will ensure patient safety, perform routine maintenance, and maintain accurate medical records in Epic. The role requires certification and adherence to NFPA standards and facility policies.

Work hours are 19.99 hours or less per week with no set schedule; pay is commensurate with experience, and UTMB Health is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• UHMS/NBDHMT/DoD course completion required pre/post hire.
• Hyperbaric Chambers Acrylics course training.
• CHT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Complete safety director training if not already completed.

Responsibilities

• Operate hyperbaric chambers to deliver oxygen as prescribed.
• Ensure patient safety during treatment.
• Maintain chamber and equipment per manuals.
• Keep accurate patient records in Epic.
• Maintain logs and safety compliance.
• Assist in daily department operations and patient care.
