Job summary

Community Dental Care is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist for a part-time position in Rochester, MN. You will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, chart and assess patients, and collaborate with a dentist to implement treatment plans in a welcoming, patient-centered clinic.

Qualifications

• Dental Hygienist license required.
• CPR/AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and periodic examinations and assessments.
• Formulate and progress dental hygiene treatment plans in coordination with a dentist.
• Perform debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy.

Salary Range: $48.00 - $54.00 Hourly

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patients
• Perform preliminary and existing charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures
• Perform initial and periodic examinations and assessments
• Formulate a dental hygiene treatment plan in coordination with a dentist's treatment plan
• Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy; place subgingival medicaments.
• Provide nutritional counseling
• Administer nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia and monitor patient
• Apply topical medications including fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents
• Qualifications Dental Hygienist license CPR/AED certification Experience working with culturally diverse communities preferred Proficiency in a second language preferred
