Job summary

Benchmark Human Services in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to support birth-to-three services across programs. You will conduct nutritional assessments, participate in IFSP planning, monitor outcomes, and provide EI supports to families for the child’s development.

The role is hybrid, with some home visits in New Haven County. Part-time requires a minimum of 10 direct service hours per week and compliance with relevant regulations and credentials.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian required with MA or PhD in nutrition sciences or clinical nutrition.
• Birth to Three Infant Toddler Family Specialist Credential with endorsement 120 or 123 required before evaluations/assessments.
• Valid Connecticut driver’s license and maintain auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Comply with federal and state regulations for Birth to Three.
• Administer evaluations and nutritional assessments.
• Provide an individual assessment of nutritional history, dietary intake, and related variables.
• Evaluate IFSP planning and implementation to meet child goals.
• Develop rapport with families and team members to support learning environments.
• Implement IFSP and determine service frequency based on child development and family priorities.
• Provide families with information, skills, and support to enhance development.
• Refer families to community resources to achieve nutritional goals.
• Attend joint visits with other providers and participate in Birth to Three trainings and team meetings.
