Job summary

CSN invites applications for a part-time instructor in Air Conditioning Technology. The role involves teaching lecture and lab sections, developing syllabi and materials, and evaluating student mastery of required outcomes.

Responsibilities include student advisement, recruitment activities, and contributing to curriculum development. Preference given to EPA 608 certification, HVAC certifications, and extensive industry experience.

Qualifications

• Background and experience in courses taught.
• Experience teaching in a community college setting.
• Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
• Knowledge of computer classroom technologies.
• EPA Section 608 certification (preferred).
• HVAC Excellence, NATE or ICE certifications (preferred).
• 10 years of service experience in the Air Conditioning Industry (preferred).
• Knowledgeable in Residential & Commercial Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Gas Furnaces, Essential Plant Operations, and Building Systems Operations (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act effectively as a member of a team (preferred).
• Self-starter, creative, goal-oriented and organized (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lecture and lab instruction for Air Conditioning Technology courses.
• Develop syllabi, lesson plans, and course materials in conjunction with Lead Faculty.
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
• Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
