Job summary

Savannah Technical College is seeking a full-time HVAC Instructor to teach Air Conditioning Technology in classroom and lab settings. The instructor will advise students and participate in department and college-wide duties.

Requirements include five years of relevant work experience or an Associate’s Degree with two years of experience, excellent communication, and EPA 608 certification. Teaching at postsecondary level preferred; duties include lectures, lab coordination, and student

Qualifications

• Must have five (5) years of work experience in Air Conditioning Technology or an Associate’s Degree in Air Conditioning Technology with two (2) years of work experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; computer skills required.
• Current EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• Teaching experience at a postsecondary institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lecture daily in classroom; plan lessons; manage the classroom.
• Coordinate and perform actual lab work.
• Recruit and retain students for the program.
• Report inventory; support school-wide planning; assist with registration; collaborate with other instructional areas.
