K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking a Part-Time HVAC Installer for construction sites in Milwaukee. You will follow blueprints to install and finish HVAC systems, coordinating with the foreman and other trades to ensure safe, code-compliant work.

The role offers two schedule options with predictable hours and the potential for better pay. Applicants with HVAC construction experience and a high school diploma are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification preferred.
• Experience as HVAC installer/technician in a construction environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams; strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specs for layout and installation.
• Rough-in and install duct systems, vents, returns, and line sets per code.
• Finish install: air handlers, furnaces, condensers, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, grills.
• Install refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage wiring per diagrams.
• Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork and piping; ensure proper airflow.
• Coordinate with foreman and other trades for cohesive project execution.
• Maintain safety standards and a clean, safe work environment.
• Ensure installations meet building code requirements.

Part- Time HVAC Installer-Construction (Pilot Program)

Responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in new construction projects. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals to ensure that all systems are installed efficiently and safely.

Part-Time Schedule:

• Choose from one of two part-time options:
  • Mondays through Thursdays from 6:30AM-Noon (22 hours per week) OR,
  • Mondays through Thursdays from 1PM-5PM (16 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, and specifications to determine layout, materials, and installation sequence.
• Perform rough-in work; layout and install duct systems, vents, bath fans, returns, and line sets per design and state/local codes.
• Perform finish work: set and mount air handlers, furnaces, condensers, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, grilles, registers, and accessories; ensure proper airflow and operation.
• Install and connect refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage/equipment wiring in accordance with diagrams, codes, and safety standards.
• Measure and determine ductwork and piping requirements; cut materials to size and assemble as necessary.
• Collaborate with project foreman and other trades to ensure cohesive and coordinated project execution.
• Comply with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure all installations meet safety and building code requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or apprenticeship in HVAC preferred.
• Proven experience as an HVAC installer or technician in a construction environment.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and functionality.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation.
