Job summary

Rogue Community College is seeking a part-time Human Services Instructor to teach within the Social Science and Human Services Department. The adjunct pool will stay open through June 2027 or until needs decline, with reviews and interviews as positions arise.

Compensation follows the 26-27 Adjunct Faculty Salary Schedule. Responsibilities include planning courses, delivering instruction, maintaining records, assessing progress, and supporting diverse learners in a collaborative department

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in human services, social work, psychology, or a related field.
• Accredited degree required; official transcripts will be provided.
• Ability to communicate inclusively with diverse students, staff, and community members.
• Experience or potential for innovation and creativity in classroom and online settings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Human Services courses.
• Create course syllabi and instruct per syllabus; maintain attendance and grade coursework.
• Assess student progress and provide letters grades.
• Adapt learning for online/distance delivery while preserving quality.
• Participate in departmental meetings and planning activities.
• Communicate effectively with students and college staff.
• Maintain departmental equipment and ensure security of instructional materials.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and assessment activities.
• Organize learning experiences for diverse learners.
• Maintain regular communication with students, department, and college.
