Job summary

UPS Grand Rapids hub is seeking a part-time Supervisor to oversee package handlers, oversee safety, productivity, and attendance, and develop teams across shifts. You will set high performance standards and coach staff to deliver accurate, timely service in a fast-paced warehouse.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, and a commitment to workplace safety. Prior management experience is preferred, with flexibility to work multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Package Handlers and train, develop, and hold workgroups responsible for safety, production and attendance.
• Ensure employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times and in compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Manage department resources to maximize output, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment with proactive communication and inter-departmental cooperation.
• Implement personal development plans to support continued growth of department personnel.
• Provide orientation, skills, and safety training with regular evaluations and proactive coaching.
