University at Buffalo's VPSL Human Resources is seeking a part-time Staff Assistant to support Student Life HR operations. The role focuses on onboarding, offboarding, attendance tracking, and handling HR processes with accuracy.

You will liaise between the Director and staff, interpret data, coordinate personnel transactions for compliance, and provide initial HR guidance to employees and managers. This position works under 20 hours per week and is not benefits-eligible, with a commitment to

Formación

• Associates degree or Bachelor's degree completed.
• Experience administering time and attendance in a unionized environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Kronos or closely comparable time and attendance software.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinating the personnel and business aspects of Student Life.
• Providing liaison between the Director and professional staff of the division with respect to administrative and human resource-related matters.
• Interpreting research and statistical data.
• Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, performance management, leave, and other HR processes.
• Review and coordinate personnel transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide initial consultation to employees, supervisors, and managers regarding HR-related questions and determine appropriate resolution or escalation.
• Develop and communicate HR-related guidance, information, and procedural resources.
• Coordinate and support the University's time and attendance system implementation and ongoing operational needs.
