Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Part-time Human Resources Assistant at our Grand Rapids, MI facility. The role reports to the Divisional HR Manager and may require occasional travel for HR meetings.

Responsibilities include maintaining personnel files, I-9s, and medical records, tracking FMLA/ADA/workers' comp, and coordinating new-hire IT setup and exits. Prior HR experience in manufacturing is favored; English and Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years’ experience as a HR assistant or recently worked toward a relevant degree.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Bi-lingual English & Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist HR Managers with record retention of all employee personnel files, medical files, and I-9 forms for multi-state employer.
• Track leave of absence, FMLA, ADA, Worker's Comp and maintain records.
• Maintain/update personnel and medical files; emphasize document retention.
• Create IT work orders for new hires’ emails and equipment, and manage terminations equipment return.
