Job description

A very private couple in Los Angeles are seeking a highly detailed and professional Houseman who has a positive and friendly demeanor to join their team on a part-time basis. This position requires a very trustworthy and hard-working self-starter who consistently uses discretion and diplomacy to maintain confidentiality at all times. The perfect employee will have a tactful demeanor, a keen eye for detail, take initiative, prioritize daily tasks, work with little to no direction but when given direction will be able to execute the task in a timely manner, and have passion and experience for maintaining properties resembling 5-star hotel standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform daily general and deep cleaning of exterior spaces, always keeping the property presentable. This includes but is not limited to washing windows, power washing, blowing leaves, skimming the pool, cleaning cobwebs, maintaining the cleanliness of the outdoor kitchen, furniture, fixtures, doors and gates, surfaces, etc.
• Assist housekeeper with interior cleaning and running errands when requested.
• Willingness to follow checklists to ensure tasks are being accomplished.
• Weekly and as needed car washes.
• Bring in mail and packages, break down boxes.
• Be the eyes and gatekeeper of the home, and oversee vendors as needed.
• Handy: able to touch-up paint, change lightbulbs, and troubleshoot fixes as needed.
• Daily perimeter walk-around checks to ensure all gates are closed and locked, and to look for anything in need of maintenance or repair.
• Take initiative while working independently but also be willing to take direction and help with special requests. Possess a positive can-do attitude.
• Be proactive and tend to the small details. Having a passion for organization and a strong attention to detail is a must!
• Maintain an excellent attendance and punctuality record.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of houseman experience in a high-profile home or 5-star hotel, with at least 3 verifiable references.
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Able to stand, walk, climb stairs for extended periods of time
• Have a valid driver's license and a reliable car
• Pass a full background check

Part-time | Tuesday & Friday | 9:00am-5:00pm, with flexibility as needed
