Job description

Dogs make us happy, and we want to return their love by keeping them as happy and healthy as we can. Which is why we started Bowie Barker, a new kind of dog bath and barber.

We are modernizing the dog grooming experience with our elevated design and easy-app-based booking system. Our We Groom/You Groom business model makes it easy for pet parents to pop in and wash their dog, or you can schedule an appointment with one of our highly skilled and vetted dog grooming pros for a full-service bathing option. The menu includes customized services to meet every dog's needs and extra attention to what we know our furry friends want.

We are looking for experienced dog groomers to be part of growing this new and exciting brand. This person will be working as a dog groomer in West Hollywood and ensuring its success as a flagship for future growth. This position may involve additional duties as necessary to maintain operational efficiency and security.

Responsibilities

• Applicants must have the ability to perform all grooming services from start to finish. These services include: Cutting, clipping, trimming, bathing, brushing, drying, grinding and clipping nails, and gland expression.
• Must ensure the physical safety of team members and dogs throughout service.
• Must be able to converse with clients to identify what they want.
• Help hire, train and onboard bathers and groomers.
• Assist in creating protocols and standards for all team members to follow.
• Applicants should be able to perform in a fast-paced environment grooming 7-10 pets a day while maintaining our standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with dog bathing or grooming and be ready to demonstrate expert skill from day one.
• Applicant must be able to stand for long hours; you DO NOT need to lift 50lbs— our grooming baths have walk-up ramps, and grooming tables have hydraulic and electric adjustable platforms.
• Applicants must have their own equipment i.e.: clippers, blades, scissors, brushes, combs; however, we provide $50 monthly in grooming tool reimbursement.

Compensation + Benefits

• Pay Range: $24.00/hour - $28.00/hour.
• Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, Life/AD&D, 401K, paid time off, and holidays.
