Job summary

Benedictine is seeking an attentive Housekeeper to uphold cleanliness throughout a healthcare facility, including resident rooms, restrooms, and bathing areas in line with policies and infection control guidelines.

The role includes discharging residents, preparing rooms for new admissions, and maintaining supplies. You will operate housekeeping equipment and ensure a clean, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness in resident rooms, public and resident restrooms, and shower/bathing areas following infection control guidelines.
• Completes resident discharges and prepares rooms for next admission, ensuring areas are stocked with soap, towels, toilet paper.
• Operates and maintains housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, carts, and carpet cleaners.

Job description

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness within the facility, including resident/patient rooms, public and resident restrooms, and shower and bathing areas by following policies/procedures and infection control guidelines.

Completes resident discharges and prepares the room for next admission. Ensures all areas are properly stocked with items such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Operates and cares for all housekeeping equipment including vacuums, housekeeping carts, carpet cleaning machines, etc.

Qualifications Preferred

• Experience in a healthcare setting.
