Job summary

Comfort Suites Outlet Center in Asheville, NC is hiring a Room Attendant / Housekeeper to ensure that our guest rooms shine and feel welcoming. You will clean each room to hotel standards—vacuum, dust, sanitize bathrooms, change linens, and replenish supplies—maintaining a spotless, comfortable space for guests.

No prior hotel experience is required, but a friendly, dependable attitude and physical stamina are essential.

Qualifications

• Genuine and friendly approach to guest interactions.
• Able to collaborate with teammates and other departments.
• Previous janitorial/cleaning/housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Able to communicate enough to direct guests to staff who can assist them.
• Friendly demeanor; a smile helps guest experience.
• Attention to safety and security; aware of surroundings.

Responsibilities

• Clean each room to hotel standards—vacuum, dust, remove trash, clean bathrooms, make beds.
• Ensure rooms are in perfect order and restock supplies as needed.
• Lift, bend, carry, and stand for long periods while performing duties.
• Interact professionally with guests and colleagues to ensure a welcoming stay.

Starting Compensation

The Role:

As a Room Attendant / Housekeeper,you willbe responsible for ensuring that our guest’s firstimpression of their room is a spotless and welcoming home-away-from-home, and that everydetail of their room is in perfect order.You'llclean each room to hotel standards - vacuuming,dusting, removing trash, cleaning bathrooms, and making the beds. This position requireslifting, bending, carrying, and being on your feet, so ifyou'relooking for a job where you can beactive, this is it!

Qualifications:

• A genuine and friendly approach to guestinteractions.
• Able to collaborate with teammates and with otherdepartments
• Previous experience in janitorial, cleaning or housekeeping preferred but notrequired
• Able to interact with guests in a friendlymanner.
• While English fluency may not be required for this role, the Room Attendant should havesufficient communication skills to be able to direct the guest to someone who can better assistthem
• Friendly demeanor – a smile when passing a guest is a great communicationskill
• Consistent awareness of physical environment and attention to safety &security
• Attention to all details in each room; impeccable cleanliness ineach and everydetail
• Self-motivated to complete tasks efficiently &thoroughly
• Able to efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure that rooms are done withinprescribed time limits and done tostandard.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of theposition;
• Pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, working quickly and constantly on yourfeet.
• Basic understanding of cleaning tools, equipment andchemicals
• Understanding of safety protocols and able to report safetyhazards
