Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home Associate Veterinarian to serve Wilkes-Barre, PA and surrounding areas. You’ll provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia services directly in clients’ homes, helping families during meaningful moments while practicing medicine with purpose.

The role offers flexibility with part-time and full-time opportunities, a supportive mentorship network, and a culture that values personal balance and well-being for veterinarians.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Availability to work some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Deliver compassionate medical care and support in patients' homes.
• Collaborate with Lap of Love team and mentors for ongoing professional development.
• Maintain patient records and adhere to safety guidelines.

• Veterinarian Salary Range: Part‑time (2‑day/week) opportunities available in the Wilkes‑Barre, PA area, offering a guaranteed base salary of $45,000 annually plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Full‑time (3‑day, 4‑day, and 5‑day) compensation details available upon request

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post‑hire and before their associated start date
