Job summary

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an in-home Associate Veterinarian to serve Wilkes-Barre, PA and surrounding areas. This mobile role focuses on hospice and euthanasia care, offering professional fulfillment with personal balance.

We provide flexible 2-5 day schedules, mentorship, and a supportive team. You’ll practice high-quality medicine at clients’ homes, with ongoing onboarding and a strong culture of kindness.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent and license to practice in the U.S.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• Availability to work some weekends is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Deliver compassionate medical care and support in clients’ homes.
• Collaborate with Lap of Love team and mentors to maintain high standards of care.

Veterinarian Salary Range

3-day, 4-day, and 5-day full-time opportunities are available in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area. Compensation varies based on schedule structure, with 4-day positions starting at $85,000 and 5-day positions offering a base salary of $100,000, plus additional bonus opportunities. 3-Day Full-Time and Part-time opportunities are also available in this market and offer prorated compensation based on schedule.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date
