TownePlace Suites McKinney Hotel is seeking a Part-Time Engineer to perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs across interior and exterior areas. The role involves responding to service calls, addressing emergencies, and reporting hazards to management.

You will work with housekeeping and front desk to coordinate tasks while ensuring guest comfort and safety. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and some hotel maintenance experience, with strong knowledge of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in hotel maintenance or facilities management is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
• Physical fitness for lifting and mobility requirements.
• Excellent communication and guest-service orientation.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
• Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks and diagnose equipment issues.
• Respond to maintenance requests and guest service concerns.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and brand standards.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments for smooth operations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies (power outages, leaks, alarms) and assist guests and staff.
