Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP is seeking a part-time Engineering Technician at La Quinta Mesa Superstition Springs in Mesa, AZ. This on-site role focuses on operation, maintenance and repair of hotel equipment and facilities.

The position requires prior maintenance experience in hospitality or related fields, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. A trade license is preferred and an acceptable driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Must have previous maintenance experience in a hotel or related field.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state and an acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Change out light bulbs and perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms (vinyl repair, touch-up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs).
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, pool and spa equipment.
• Respond to alarms, determine emergency status and report findings to Front Desk.
• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
