Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer for a part-time role at Holiday Inn Oceanside in Virginia Beach, VA. The ideal candidate will oversee grounds, public areas and guest rooms, perform preventative maintenance, and respond quickly to maintenance orders while contributing to a safe, well-maintained property.

Candidates should have multiple years in hotel maintenance and be skilled in HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (2) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred.
• One year of college or trade school in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs
• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner
• Fulfills work orders in a timely manner
• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
• Perform various other duties as assigned
