Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join our hotel team at Holiday Inn Oceanside in Virginia Beach, VA. This part-time role focuses on preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and keeping guest rooms and public areas in top condition.

Candidates should have 2–3 years in hotel maintenance, with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge, plus strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in hotel maintenance (experience preferred).
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge required.
• Strong communication with guests and associates.

Responsibilities

• Oversees property grounds, public areas and guest rooms.
• Performs preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Checks fixtures, lighting and signs; maintains spare parts inventory.
• Responds to maintenance orders promptly.
• Completes daily rounds and reports issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
