Big Woods Noblesville is seeking a friendly part-time Host to welcome guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating with the team. You’ll maintain a tidy front-of-house, provide accurate wait times, escort guests to tables, and help ensure a warm dining experience.

Requirements include strong interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to stand for long periods, weekend availability, and a willingness to grow with the restaurant.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills to manage reservations and guest flow.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations during peak dining hours.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and welcome guests as they enter the restaurant.
• Manage the reservation system and communicate seating with the kitchen and waitstaff.
• Maintain a neat front-of-house area and host/hostess station.
• Provide accurate wait time estimates and manage guest expectations.
• Escort guests to tables and present menus and specials.
• Accommodate special requests such as high chairs or accessibility needs.
• Handle guest inquiries and escalate issues to management when needed.
• Coordinate seating with wait staff to ensure smooth dining experiences.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and daily specials for guests.
• Manage the waitlist during busy periods and communicate updates.
• Assist in keeping front-of-house areas clean and organized.
• Thank guests and solicit feedback at departure.
