Job summary

Le Pain Quotidien in Washington, DC, is hiring part-time team members to provide friendly, attentive service at the 17th Street location. You’ll prepare drinks for retail and dining, assist with to-go orders, and help maintain pastry displays while learning our menu and policies.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 months restaurant experience, familiarity with Toast POS, and a flexible schedule. You’ll work as part of Convive Brands, with opportunities for growth and a welcoming team environment where

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, especially Toast.
• Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required.
• Ability to be cross-trained in all dining room and retail areas.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout the visit.
• Prepare all drinks for retail and dining room, including batches for the retail counter.
• Handle phone orders with proper etiquette.
• Maintain and consolidate pastry display throughout the day.
• Perform sales transactions in accordance with cash handling policy.
• Keep all areas of the restaurant clean and organized by following cleaning checklists.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures; daily checklist and side work assignments.
