Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Driver to provide passenger transport with excellent people skills on rotating shifts. The role requires a high school diploma, MD driver’s license and a clean driving record. You must pass shipping infectious substances and medication security courses within orientation.

Pay ranges from $18.00 to $21.42 per hour, based on experience and education. Uniforms are required and cell phone use is expected on the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid Maryland driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Clean driving record demonstrating safe operation of a vehicle.
• Pass shipping infectious substances/dangerous goods course within first 2 days of orientation.
• Pass medication security health stream course.
• Wear Holy Cross Health (HCH) uniform.
• Possess and operate a cell phone.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks on security vehicles (oil and water).
• Articulate understanding of Maryland traffic regulations.
• Clearly communicate location and departure/arrival times by phone.
