Qualifications

• Vaccination requirements for hospital settings.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other facility occupants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility grounds, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, credential verification, and direction-giving per site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership.
