Qualifications

• 2 years of security experience required.
• Current CA Driver's license.
• Guard Registration card.
• Pepper spray permit.
• CPR within 3 months of hire.
• Preferably: Hospital security experience. Associate's Degree, Criminal Justice.

Responsibilities

• Patrol City of Hope buildings and premises to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and intruders via assigned vehicle, foot and/or bike patrol.
• Secures and/or unlocks offices and facilities.
• Secures lost and found articles; maintains logs of items received.
• Secures and escorts medical staff with patients that have deceased providing protection for the body.
• Controls parking and traffic flow; enforces parking regulations.
• Assists with moving or transporting barriers.
• Responds to emergency conditions to protect life and property.
• Participates in business continuity recovery team and exercises.
• Monitors visitors and documents incidents; escalates to Security Leadership as needed.
• Escorts personnel to parking lots and buildings; prepares incident reports.
