Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Security role at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph. The officer will patrol hospital facilities, respond to emergencies, assist with directions and access control, and support safe transportation services. Ongoing training and licensure maintenance are expected. Primary location is Lakeland Hospital St Joseph in St Joseph, MI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 21 years of age with valid Michigan driver license.
• LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI Upon Hire.
• CRT-First Aid - AHA or ARC 180 Days.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC 180 Days.

Responsibilities

• Maintains highly visible patrols to deter fire, accidents, and criminal acts.
• Documents incidents thoroughly and promptly.
• Assists employees, visitors, and patients with directions and access control.
• Communicates with patients and health care team members.
• Resolves conflicts using verbal de-escalation and safe force options when needed.
• Responds to emergencies and investigates suspicious situations.
• Completes required ongoing training and maintains licensure/certifications.
