Job summary

Labcorp in Bay Minette, AL is seeking a Hospital Phlebotomist to join our team at N. Baldwin Infirmary Hospital. The role involves venipuncture and capillary collections, data entry, and patient-facing service on a 2x12 hour shift schedule (days vary Mon–Sun, 6pm–6:30am).

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with preferred 1+ year of phlebotomy experience. Travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Work Schedule

2x12 hour shifts days will vary between Monday through Sunday 6pm - 6:30am

Job Responsibilities

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
