Job summary

University Hospitals in Elyria, OH seeks a Pharmacy Tech II to join the inpatient, outpatient and medication history teams. This part-time role (20 hours per week) supports pharmacists in retrieval, preparation, and distribution of medications under supervision.

You will handle sterile and non-sterile prep per USP standards, restock ADCs, process prescriptions including insurance adjudication, and assist with medication history collection.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; IV certification not required.
• CPhT license in Ohio required; previous hospital experience preferred.
• Strong math and basic science understanding; good communication.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software and dispensing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with retrieval, preparation and distribution of medications.
• Restock ADCs and manage stock to prevent shortages.
• Process prescriptions, including insurance adjudication and labeling.
• Collect and document medication histories; communicate with care team.
• Adhere to PHI policies and maintain a clean, compliant workspace.
