Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Part-time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II to support daily operations under pharmacist supervision. This position rotates between 1st and 2nd shifts, averages 16 hours per week, and emphasizes accuracy, strong math, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Must have clean criminal history related to work with drugs.
• Strong math and calculation skills.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient in typing and basic computer tasks (MS Office).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or intern/extern license if enrolled.
• Pharmacy Technician National Certification required unless enrolled in school.

Responsibilities

• Under pharmacist supervision, supports the pharmacy department in inventory, preparation, distribution, compounding, processing of medications and supplies, and medication histories.
• Assist with medication processing tasks including answering phones, taking refills, entering orders, and preparing medications for pharmacist check.
• Prepare medications for disbursement/shipment/delivery and maintain records and supplies.
• Assist in bulk compounding and preparation of IV solutions; minimize medication errors with standard policies and procedures.
