Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Transport teammate to ensure safe, efficient movement of patients within the Arlington Heights hospital. The role includes admissions and discharge transports, and trips to diagnostic testing departments, with rotating weekends and holidays.

The position is part time/per diem, 7am–3:30pm, with a focus on clear communication, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with nursing and medical staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• AED training within 3 months of hire.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to interact positively with patients, families, nursing staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely within the hospital, including admissions and discharges.
• Move patients to diagnostic testing departments and return trips.
• Transport equipment and supplies as needed to support patient care.
• Demonstrate proper body mechanics when handling patients.
