Job summary

Freeman Health is seeking a part-time dishwashing associate to support our Nutrition Services team in the hospital cafeteria and kitchen. The role focuses on washing, sanitizing, and stocking as part of daily food service operations.

The position requires standing for long periods and adherence to safety and sanitation procedures while contributing to a clean, efficient food service area at Freeman Health.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Spend most of the shift washing and sanitizing dishes, trays, pots, pans and utensils.
• Operate the dish machine and use the three-compartment sink as required.
• Return clean items to the proper storage and service areas.
• Clean and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors, carts, equipment and work areas.
• Remove trash and cardboard and keep disposal areas orderly.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation and workplace-safety procedures.
• Assist with stocking, transporting supplies and other related Nutrition Services duties as assigned
• Most of the shift is spent standing and working in the dish room around heat, steam, water, food residue, cleaning chemicals and noise.
