Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson is seeking a Part-time Floor Technician to support the Housekeeping department on the night shift from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. You will perform floor care, waste handling, linen processing, and sanitizing duties to keep patient rooms and public areas clean and safe.

The role requires 1–3 years in environmental services or custodial work, the ability to follow infection control standards, and a commitment to reliability.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or hospital facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and shampooing flooring surfaces.
• Collects, disposes of waste, including biohazardous materials, per hospital policies.
• Handles soiled linens and replaces with clean bags, ensuring proper containment.
• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas per infection control standards.
• Responds to spills with proper disinfection and safety procedures.
• Moves furniture/equipment as needed for cleaning or department relocation.
• Monitors supply usage and stores supplies safely, reporting needs to supervisor.
