Job summary

Indiana University Health System is hiring for an Environmental Services position at Fishers Hospital. This role supports a safe and welcoming environment by cleaning patient rooms, offices, clinics, and public spaces in rotating, part-time shifts.

The ideal candidate will be able to wear required PPE, meet physical demands, and work with clinical teams to ensure infection control and patient safety in high-acuity areas such as OR/ED.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.
• Must be able to wear PPE as required by environment/regulations.
• Physical ability to sit/stand, reach, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs or more for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provides cleaning and sanitizing services for patient rooms, offices, clinics, clinical and procedural areas, and public spaces.
• Supports patient safety through high-quality cleaning and infection control practices.
• Applies disinfection protocols and uses approved cleaning tools following hospital policy.
• Performs hazardous and biohazardous waste removal per safety regulations.
• Collaborates with clinical teams to ensure cleaning supports patient care flow.
