Job summary

Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center is seeking a Part-Time Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) to support the Environmental Services Department. The shift is 3:00PM–11:00PM, including weekends, with a starting rate of $18.50/hr.

Responsibilities include cleaning nursing units and patient rooms, restocking carts, disposing of waste, and following sanitation protocols. Candidates must have HS Diploma or GED, read/write and speak English, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required or will obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes appropriate cleaning equipment in cleaning all nursing units, patients' rooms and all other designated facility areas, including floors, woodwork, sills, vents, sinks, furniture etc.
• Follows department policies on cleaning, disinfecting and deodorization.
• Cleans up major spills and responds to pages promptly.
• Cleans and restocks housekeeping carts at end of shift.
• Removes all trash and linen within the hospital.
• Handles cleaning solution preparations and bio-hazard materials safely.
• Makes periodic checks for environmental needs in assigned area.
• Reports repairs to maintenance.
• Keeps abreast of environmental services changes in monthly meetings.
• Handles moderately complex issues and refers more complex ones to higher-level staff.
• Position includes cleaning bodily fluids.
• Performs other related duties.
