Job summary

River Point Behavioral Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a part-time Cook for our Dietary department to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner for patients and staff according to approved menus and production sheets.

You will ensure kitchen cleanliness, supervise aides in dining room cleaning, log temperatures daily, manage trash removal, perform a final walk-through of dietary spaces before clock-out, and move frozen items to the walk-in fridge for the next day.

Qualifications

• Must have an 8th grade education or higher and at least 6 months related commercial experience and/or training.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner for patients and staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.
• Maintain overall kitchen cleanliness and monitor kitchen aides for dining room cleaning.
• Fill out temperature logs daily.
• Ensure removal of all trash and perform a thorough walk-through of dietary spaces before clocking out.
• Move frozen products for the next day into the walk-in refrigerator.
• Support proper food safety and sanitation practices per department policies.
