Job summary

Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR is seeking a Part-time physician to deliver direct medical care and clinical support to hospice patients and families. The role focuses on comfort, symptom management, and quality of life, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and Medical Director to align with hospice philosophy and CMS standards.

The physician will perform face-to-face visits, participate in goals-of-care discussions, and support admissions and prognosis determination across IPU

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Arkansas.
• Willingness to pursue Oklahoma licensure.
• Board certification (or eligibility) in a primary specialty.
• Demonstrated knowledge of hospice and palliative care principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to hospice patients with focus on palliation and comfort.
• Manage pain and other distressing symptoms using evidence-based palliative practices.
• Conduct face-to-face visits, including hospice eligibility encounters when applicable.
• Participate in goals-of-care discussions with patients and families.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IDG), attending physicians, and Medical Director.
• Assist with admissions to inpatient and outpatient hospice settings and determine prognosis and care level.
• Provide clinical supervision for outpatient teams and oversee care planning and symptom management.
• Participate in IPU rounding and assist with procedures as needed.
• Engage in IDG meetings and educate patients and families on disease progression and end-of-life expectations.

Doctor of Medicine (MD)

Arkansas medical license

Board certification (or eligibility) in primary specialty
