Delaware Valley University is seeking a Student Worker for the Equestrian Center in Doylestown, PA. The role involves daily care of horses, assisting the Stable Manager, and maintaining a clean, safe facility.

This part-time position offers $10.00 per hour with hours across mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays. You must be currently enrolled as a Delaware Valley University student and authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Previous horse experience preferred.
• Completion of the Equine Practicum course preferred.
• Ability to operate small farm equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete general stable work: clean stalls, feed hay and grain, water, turn horses in and out.
• Contribute to a variety of hours including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, holidays, and breaks.
• Provide supplemental care for horses: blanketing, bathing, administering supplements, hand walking as needed, occasional grooming.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of the facility: mezzanine, restrooms, feed room, hay stalls, turnout fields, common areas, grounds.
• Complete maintenance projects and extra chores as assigned: decobwebbing, scraping fences, painting, pulling weeds, shoveling snow.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide required documentation.
