Job summary

Visiting Angels Richardson TX is seeking a Part Time Home Health Aide (HHA) to enrich clients’ quality of life at home. You will support wellness per client care plans, assist with daily activities, and provide compassionate companionship in Plano and surrounding areas.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, and 2 years of caregiving experience. Training in First Aid may be provided if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable vehicle to transport clients.
• Minimum 2 years professional caregiving experience.
• Excellent time-management and multitasking abilities.
• First Aid and emergency response training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with light exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents to supervisors.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with shopping and accompany clients as needed.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Support mobility and transfers at home and during appointments.

Role

As a Visiting Angels Part Time Home Health Aide - HHA, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Part Time Home Health Aide - HHA Job Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Minimum 2 Years Professional Caregiving Experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
