Job summary

Visiting Angels Richardson is seeking caring individuals for the In Home Housekeeper or Caregiver role serving clients in Richardson, Plano and surrounding areas. Duties include companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep and mobility support, with flexible day and shift options.

You will work with a team that values compassionate care, reliable transportation, and adherence to safety protocols. Training opportunities offered with room for growth within the network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
• Minimum 2 years professional caregiving experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Training in First Aid and emergency response (provided if needed).
• Reliable transportation to client homes at scheduled times.
• Willing to comply with health and safety standards.
• Compassion and desire to brighten each client’s day.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with light exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide companionship and support.
• Respond quickly in emergencies.
• Accompany clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.

In Home Housekeeper or Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Minimum 2 Years Professional Caregiving Experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
