Job summary

Visiting Angels of Hurst is seeking a Part Time Home Health Aide (HHA) to support clients across the HEB area, including Euless and Hurst. You will provide personal care, companionship, meals, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance in clients’ homes, with qualified training offered in dementia/alzheimer's care as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.

• Report health changes or incidents to supervisors.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands.
• Assist with medication reminders when applicable.
• Support clients' safety and wellness according to care plans.

As a Visiting Angels Part Time Home Health Aide - HHA, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Part Time Home Health Aide - HHA Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation and current driver's license to get to and from client homes at the times you are scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to tasks like carrying groceries and transferring a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary requirements
• Be willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client
